Earls Court Olympia Group
iCube were appointed to represent ECOG at a Planning Inquiry concerning the
development of an area of land currently used as Olympia's main servicing lorry
park. Proposals by the land owner would have seen the site developed for a
substantial residential block, which would have seriously compromised Olympia's
continued operation as a major exhibition centre.
The Practice reviewed the impact of the loss of the facility on the business
and developed a series of arguments and technical analyses to support the case.
Evidence was presented at the Inquiry by the Practice.
The Inspector ruled that the development should not proceed and supported the
local authority in their refusal to grant planning permission.
