Westminster City Council and Transport for London
The last five years or so have seen massive change in and around the station at
Paddington. Large scale office and residential development has taken place on
redundant railway land and around the canal basin.
The key planning bodies wanted to understand the cumulative impact of these
developments on the area's public transport system, and commissioned iCube to
develop a model of the peak demands and to assess the improvements in the system
needed to sustain the regeneration of Paddington.
The flexible and responsive framework adopted by the Practice has meant testing
the impacts has been simple and straightforward. Consequently the clients have
updated the analysis to take account of changes in development proposals and
background growth in patronage.
